Bombay Duck

Bombay Duck
not a duck but a strong-tasting and stinky delicacy of the western coast of India, sun-dried and salted Harpadon nehereus (Harpadontidae). It keeps a long time if kept dry and can be crumbled over stews and curries. The name may come from Bombay Dak (the Bombay Mail train) that would smell of this odiferous fish
